Outreach Services

Outreach Services include coordination of services for clients, as well as serving as an advocate for clients who cannot or do not know how to obtain services for their unique situation(s). Provides information on what services are available for each situation in each county. Distributes information on programs from other agencies or companies that may be of need to the client. Outreach programs also maintains a list of jobs available in the areas they serve. 

 

Behavioral Care Services

Opportunities, Inc. Behavioral Care Center promotes services to persons from all socio-economic environments, acknowledges all family members and serves all individual clients with empathy. Priority is given to pregnant, injecting drug users; pregnant substance abusers; injecting drug users; persons with HIV/Aids and minorities. Behavioral Care Services are available to anyone in the state of Oklahoma. Facility is located in Watonga.

 

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program
The VITA Program offers free tax help to low-to moderate-income (generally, $39,000 and below) people who cannot prepare their own tax returns. Certified volunteers sponsored by various organizations receive training to help prepare basic tax returns in communities across the country. VITA sites are generally located at community and neighborhood centers, libraries, schools, shopping malls, and other convenient locations. Most locations also offer free electronic filing. Opportunities, Inc. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program

RSVP is sponsored by Opportunities, Inc. and is funded by National Senior Corp and Oklahoma DHS Aging Services  Division.RSVP works with senior citizens, age 55 and over, who volunteer in their community's services such as hospital auxiliaries, tutoring and literacy programs with schools, assisting in nursing homes, clinics, libraries, museums, county offices, legal programs, senior centers and other related facilities. RSVP serves Blaine, Caddo, Canadian, Custer, Dewey, Kingfisher and Woodward Counties.

Child and Adult Care Food Program
A federal program that provides money for serving nutritious meals to children in licensed family daycare homes.  Serving infants and children ages one through twelve years of age. This program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and is administered at the state level by the Oklahoma Department of Education. Opportunities, Inc. oversses the program in family daycare home. This program is available in Alfalfa, Beaver, Beckham, Blaine, Caddo, Canadian, Cimarron, Custer, Dewey, Ellis, Garfield, Grant, Harper, Kingfisher, Major, Noble, part of Oklahoma, Roger Mills, Texas, Washita, Woods and Woodward Counties.
      
 
Head Start
Our Head Start program provides comprehensive child development program for pre-school children and their families who meet the family income guidelines and children with disabilities.
 

Housing

Opportunities, Inc. has apartments in Hennessey(8 units), Woodward(17 units) and Guymon (32 units) (go to the housing web page for the addresses  and contact information for each apartment complex).

 

Weatherization

The purpose of the Weatherization Program is to provide energy conservation services to the low income population. Professionally trained crews weatherize single-family homes and multi-family dwellings. Weatherization has a long life span and will provide savings for many years. The amount of savings will depend upon the condition of the structure when the work is performed.

 

 

Rx for Oklahoma

          Provides assistance to connect individuals and families to programs offered by pharmaceutical

          companies. Our goal is to increase awareness of these programs and help families receive free or

          reduced medications.
